6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
4 tablespoons ice water
Filling
3/4 cup blackstrap molasses (use unsulfured mild molasses for a milder molasses flavor)
3/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
1/2 cup light syrup
1/4 cup unsalted butter
3 large eggs
2 cups pecan halves
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
